Nitrox
"Nitrox" is a term commonly used in diving, referring to a breathing gas mixture of nitrogen and oxygen, with a higher percentage of oxygen than the air. Standard air has about 21% oxygen and 78% nitrogen, but nitrox mixtures typically have 32% or 36% oxygen. This is beneficial for divers because it reduces the amount of nitrogen they inhale, which can help extend bottom times and reduce the risk of decompression sickness (also known as "the bends").
